脆弱性

エンジニアがあるシステムを設計するときには、 システムの一部で生じた不具合が他の領域に 連鎖的に不具合をもたらさないような冗長性を もたせることが多い。
宇宙開発や原子力施設等、影響が大きいものの 設計であればなおさらだ。
これは、リスクがゼロにはできないという自覚が 基本としてあり、ゼロでないリスクと如何に 向き合うかを可能な限り突き詰めるからだと思う。

そういう点でみると、現代の資本主義体制にある 政治や経済のシステムはとても脆弱だと感じる。
リーマン・ショックしかり、今回のBrexitしかり。
多分、そこに冗長性をもたせないことがグローバル 資本主義の特徴なので、誰も何とかしようとは 思わないのだろう。

When engineers design a system, they add some kind of redundancy to the system so that a trouble at a part of the whole system would not affect other parts in chain.
Even more so for space developments, nuclear power plants, or etc. which have a high impact.
This is because they basically be conscious that they cannot eliminate all risk, and thinking as much as possible about how to cope with the risk.

At that point of view, politics and economics under capitalism seem to be really vulnerable indeed.
Not to mention about Financial crisis, Brexit, or etc.
I guess it is characteristics of global capitalism that it don't have redundancy, and no one thinks of changing the situation.
